| Samuel "Sam" Porter Bridges is a legendary porter and member of Bridges who plays an integral role in expanding the Chiral Network and making the United Cities of America whole by embarking on a westward expedition. His main task as the only playable character is to deliver important cargo from and to one of the many Knot Citiec in UCA.He is a sufferer for DOOMs, a condition only known to a few characters in the game. This condition allows him to sense BTs (Beached Things) and with the help of his BB(Bridge Baby) and fellow Odradek to avoid or kill those dead sufferers. |

| Fragile is a side character which Sam meets int he beggining of the game during the player's first timefall(this is a rain filled with chiralium, which has the ability to accelerate the time for everything it touches) and after Sam was ordered to deliver special cargo into Lake Knot City. As a sufferer of DOOMs, Fragile has a unique ability to teleport herself and the cargo she carries, making her an invaluable ally to Sam. |

| Higgs Monaghan, also known as the "Man in the Golden Mask", was a porter and a close associate of Fragile Express, until he met and was seduced by Amelie. Higgs acted as the figurehead of the militant separatist group known as the Homo Demens to maintain the independence of Edge Knot City on Amelie's behest.Higgs possesses powerful supernatural abilities, including the ability to summon powerful "beached things" (BTs) and to manipulate antimatter.Throughout the game, Higgs serves as one of the main antagonists, frequently coming into conflict with Sam as he attempts to impede his progress and disrupt the efforts of Bridges. As the game progresses, Higgs' motivations and backstory are revealed, adding depth and complexity to his character. |

| Samantha America Strand, widely known as Amelie, is the "ka" (soul) of the sixth extinction entity, publicly recognized as the daughter of her counterpart "ha" (body), President Bridget Strand and "adoptive sister" of Sam Strand.Bridget Strand, the sixth extinction entity, developed uterine cancer in her early twenties. During surgery, her "ka" and "ha" separated, with her "ka" waking up on the Beach. Strangely, both halves of her essence were aware of each other's existence and worked in tandem. Due to the timeless nature of the Beach, Bridget's "ka" did not age, and the age gap between the two grew to a noticeable degree. Eventually rumors began to spread of a younger version of Bridget wandering the White House. In order to deflect suspicion, Bridget created the persona of Amelie for her "ka", fabricating a cover history. |
